Equip Critical Delay and use Primed Bane mods (faction multiplier). Alternatively, use Galvanised Scope over Critical Delay. Ignis still hits headshots provided you aim the central beam at the head.

I think Ignis wraith does have some stat advantages over ignis too. IIRC Ignus has slightly higher damage, but the Wraith has better status. they're pretty much equal. Do both for the mastery then keep the one you like more.

[Galvanized Aptitude] will add 80% flat damage bonus per status on the target, which means without anything else applying statuses, you'd already get 240% flat damage from the heat, viral and slash procs, and the [Ignis Wraith] is really good at applying all of those very quickly.
